Company’s annual gala also includes preview of new work
Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will celebrate its 31st year with The King Hing Thing, the company’s annual gala. HDDT will honor Albert Wolsky, two-time Oscar winning costume designer, and Maria Rosario Jackson, urban planner and President Obama appointee to the National Council on the Arts. SoCal Connected anchor Val Zavala will emcee the evening. The event will support upcoming programming as well as HDDT’s arts education program, Duck Ed.
The King Hing Thing will include a catered dinner and cocktails by Far Bar. Duckler will preview excerpts from a new piece, When I Am King, as part of the evening’s activities. Local musicians Erinn Monique and Beat Mosaic will set the tone for the evening with their signature jazz fusion sound
